New Year

So, here I am, 12 days after the start of 2011 (it is still weird writing this)!
I figured I would put up some challenges that I am making for myself, with the hopes that anyone who reads this will hold me accountable. I do not like calling them resolutions...but I guess that is what they are.

1. Blog more(oops...already not doing so hot on this one).
2. Facebook less (so if you see me on, ask me if I have been spending too much time there that day).
3. Learn to sew and actually make some functional things for our home, and for Lorelei (because, you know, my kid needs more clothes).
4. Get involved in a Bible study as a participant, and as a leader (already in a womens' one about Ephesians, and thinking about starting one in the summer for the upcoming seniors and college freshman ladies at my church). Also, do them more on my own as well.
5. Do more crafts, especially when Lorelei is old enough to participate (coloring, making pretty things for the kitchen, repurposing stuff).
6. Become a successful and experienced "thrifter" (because my Etsy obsession needs to be fed even more.)
7. Start tracking Lorelei's growth better (on this blog or otherwise).
8. Start doing some real house projects (paint walls, paint kitchen cabinets, makeover the bathrooms, possibly re-carpet main room and/or pergo the kitchen).
9. Have more date nights with the hubby (Hint, hint, my love!)
10. Lose 10 lbs(obligatory, but necessary).

And while I am at it, a to-do list for the nearer future:
1. Make Lorelei's one year photo book
2. Plan the best first birthday bash I can.
3. Paint all the trim in my house white.

I think that is all for now. Here is my happy girl getting excited for the new year!

  1. I love you Dianasaur! That has to be one of my favorite pictures of Lorelei ever. :-)

P.S. I'm holding you accountable to that Facebook thing. ;)
